RBC Business: Ideas and Lessons Learned from Real-Life Entrepreneurs
“My biggest piece of advice to new business owners is to embrace patience and persistence. Building a business takes time, and success doesn’t happen overnight. There will be challenges along the way, but each one is an opportunity to learn and grow.”
Lee Valley tools - Feature Friday
Feature Friday: Ash from Willow Ash Designs in Montreal, Quebec, shared her incredible scroll saw project with us:
“My first intarsia piece. (Intarsia uses varied shapes, sizes, and species of wood fitted together to create a mosaic-like picture with an illusion of depth.) I used dark walnut, maple and birch lumber on my scroll saw using Pegas modified geometry blades, as well as a Mallard scroll saw plan. The backer is made from spruce. Many hours were spent on the belt sander in order to get every detail needed. I finished this piece using Walrus oil. I enjoyed every minute of making it and look forward to my next challenge.”
